ABOUT FEBCanada
Far East Broadcasting Associates of Canada (FEBCanada) is an autonomous member of FEBC International. The Canadian ministry was incorporated in British Columbia in 1964. FEBCanada is an interdenominational, non-profit Christian organization with office in Vancouver, BC and Toronto, Ontario, and over 40 staff.

Since 1964, FEBCanada has been broadcasting in more than 100 languages, from over 130 transmitters around the world and providing training and equipping our ministries partners and churches.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR POSITION
FEBCanada is looking for a candidate who share our desire to serve and has a firm commitment to the ministry’s Mission and Statement of Faith.
The Executive Director of FEBCanada is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ministry, management and fund development, including strategic planning, future expansions and day-to-day operations, in accordance with the principles and guidelines set out by the Board of Directors, whom the Executive Director of FEBCanada reports to.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of FEBCanada ministry activities are in the best interest of our donors, supporters, FEBC ministry partners, listeners, employees and the greater Christian community. Additionally, he/she is responsible for attaining all established ministry, operational and financial goals.
1. LEADERSHIP
- Provide leadership to ensure that the mission, ethical values and core guiding principles of the ministry are put into practice.
- Provide an organizational structure and lead the executive management team to be effective developers of solutions to operational and financial challenges, utilizing best practices and thereby establishing credibility throughout the organization and with the Board.
- Develop a strategic plan with annual measurable goals and be responsible for leading the ministry to achieve its objectives.
- Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; attract and recruit members of the executive team that may not currently be in place; and provide mentoring as a cornerstone to a management career development program.
- Represent the ministry and its values with employees, volunteers, donors, vendors, government and regulatory bodies, other stakeholders and the public generally.
2. BUSINESS MANAGEMENT & STRATEGY
- Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
- Collaborate with the executive management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the ministry.
- Direct the development, strategy and implementation of major projects and potential new ministry opportunities.
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the ministry.
- Represent the ministry and its values with employees, volunteers, donors, vendors, government and regulatory bodies, other stakeholders and the public generally.
3. FUND DEVELOPMENT
- Develop and execute an annual fund campaign to raise $4million a year in support of the strategic direction of the organization.
- Plan and manage timelines for various fundraising activities to ensure plans and fundraise processes are carried out in a timely and strategic manner.
- Develop and implement a budget for the fund development plan.
- Monitor and evaluate all fundraising activities to ensure that goals are being achieved.
- Provide monthly reports to the board of directors which measure progress towards achieving campaign goals.
4. GOVERNANCE & DISCLOSURE
- Oversee the development, implementation and compliance of approved policies, including policies regarding corporate governance, risk management, financial reporting as well as compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist the Board and the Director of Finance and Administration to ensure appropriate and timely disclosure of material information.
- Establish and maintain the ministry’s internal controls over financial reporting with the Director of Finance and Administration.
5. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Board.
SUPERVISION
The Director of Chinese Ministries, the Director of International Ministries and the Director of Finance and Administration report directly to the Executive Director.
EDUCATION
A relevant advanced degree, while theological degree or equivalent graduate-level training is desirable.
EXPERIENCE
At least ten years of progressive experience in a para-church or business management environment. Recent experience (minimum 5 to 7 years) at a senior leadership level and demonstrated success in facilitating the achievement of exemplary performance is desired.
Desirable experiences include:
- Successful business re-engineering exercise resulting in significant productivity and performance improvement,
- Successful launch new product(s) and / or ministry(s) resulting in sustainable increase in revenue / donation,
- Significantly improve market share, brand recognition and penetration of the product and / or ministry,
- Taking a successful business and / or ministry to a new height and able to solidify the improvements as the launch pad for future growth,
- Working experience in a mass media / broadcasting organization, and with good working knowledge of the broadcasting or new media industry,
- Demonstrated ability to work with and relate to different ethnic groups of different age brackets.
PERSONALITY
As a servant leader, the candidate is a warm-hearted, dedicated, committed and mature Evangelical Christian with a keen desire to serve in family, church, work and community. A firm commitment to the ministry’s Mission and Statement of Faith is required. Impeccable character and reputation, a pleasant personality with a positive and friendly attitude is expected.
EMPLOYMENT TERM
Start on Jan-02-2023. Contract of 36 months term and renewable.
